Two unidentified female pedestrians sustained serious injuries after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver in Desert Hot Springs on early Friday morning, October 9.

A white Honda CR-V sport utility vehicle reportedly struck two women on the highway for unknown reasons.

Both of the victims suffered from critical injuries from the wreck and were hospitalized. The Honda driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Ocotillo Road towards Pierson Boulevard.

Local authorities suspect that the white Honda may have front-end and front passenger-side damage with a missing passenger mirror.

Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Investigation is Underway

Local authorities are currently investigating the case. They are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver and are gathering more evidence to locate the suspect.
