An 88-year-old woman identified as Edith Mary Honer was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Murrieta on Sunday morning, November 14.

Honer was standing near the driver’s side of a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that was stopped on the on-ramp’s right shoulder. A passing BMW sedan then rear-ended the Hyundai Sonata.

Due to the severity of the impact, Honer was ejected onto the roadway. She was later pronounced dead at the scene. A 91-year-old woman who was a passenger of the Hyundai sustained severe injuries from the accident. She was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the BMW sustained minor injuries from the accident. No arrests have been made at the moment.
