[09-09-2020] Riverside County, CA – Woman Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Hemet

A 56-year-old woman identified as Monica Garcia was killed after getting hit by a pickup truck in East Hemet on Wednesday night, September 9.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident transpired around 8:10 p.m. on Highway 74 in East Hemet. The woman was walking towards a convenience store near her home when a Toyota Tundra suddenly struck her. She was reportedly walking in an area with very few street lights. The driver did not see her right away.
