Two people were killed after a head-on traffic collision in Sacramento on Friday morning, June 19th.

[06-19-2020] Two People Killed in a Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 5According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. Police received a call about a wrong-way driver driving a Subaru Outback on southbound Interstate 5, just south of Power Line Road.

The reason why the Subaru was driving on the opposite lane is unclear. The Subaru then later collided head-on into an oncoming Honda Accord on southbound I-5. The drivers of both vehicles were both pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda Accord passenger sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
