[10-09-2021] Sacramento County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured After a Fatal Head-On Collision in Isleton

One person was killed while another person was injured after a significant head-on collision in Isleton on Saturday evening, October 9.

[10-09-2021] Sacramento County, CA - One Killed, Another Injured After a Fatal Head-On Collision in IsletonThe accident transpired at approximately 5:15 p.m. on the 15175 block of Highway 160, just west of Isleton. A Lexus was driving on Highway 160 at high speeds when it veered off the shoulder for unclear reasons.

Unfortunately, the Lexus driver overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The Lexus then drifted across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming Ford F350.

Due to the severity of the impact, the Ford sustained significant front-end damage while the Lexus was wrecked. The Lexus driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Ford driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident. No arrests have been made at the moment.
