[09-26-2021] Sacramento County, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision in Rio Linda Kills One and Injures Two Others

One person was killed while two others were injured after a two-vehicle collision in Rio Linda on Sunday afternoon, September 26.

[09-26-2021] Sacramento County, CA - Two-Vehicle Collision in Rio Linda Kills One and Injures Two OthersThe fatal collision transpired at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Dominion Way and Elverta Road in Rio Linda. Two unspecified vehicles collided at the intersection for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been disclosed.

Three people were extricated by emergency personnel from the wreckage. All three parties were rushed to an area hospital for treatment. One of them was critically injured, while the other two sustained minor injuries.

Unfortunately, the critically injured party later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead. Intoxication was not considered as a factor in the collision. The case is currently under further investigation. The California Highway Patrol will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
