[12-21-2020] Sacramento County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at Florin Road Kills One Person

One unidentified driver was killed after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in an intersection in Sacramento on Monday morning, December 21.

The deadly accident took place at the intersection of Florin Road and Excelsior Road at approximately 5:40 a.m. Two unspecified vehicles collided at the intersection for unclear reasons.

How the collision occurred and the circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established. A third vehicle reportedly drove into the intersection and crashed into the two cars.

Due to the severity of the impact, the third vehicle veered off into a ditch and caught fire. Emergency personnel extricated the driver of the third vehicle from the wreckage.

Unfortunately, one of the drivers from the first two vehicles died as a result of the accident. The fog was considered a factor in the fatal crash. Additional information about the impact has not been disclosed at the moment.
