Two people were killed while several others were injured after a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision in Lucerne Valley on Friday morning, July 3rd.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal accident occurred at around 6:44 a.m. A black 2006 Nissan Altima collided head-on with another vehicle on Highway 18 near Custer Avenue. The Nissan reportedly veered off into the oncoming lane, where he later struck the other vehicle. The driver of the Nissan and a passenger from the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

A total of four people sustained varying degrees of injuries. One person had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
