Two people were hurt after a major two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Monday afternoon, July 19.
The accident transpired at approximately 12:07 p.m. in the area of Highway 395 near Bear Valley Road.
A blue Chevrolet and a Toyota Camry were involved in the collision. Due to the severity of the impact, the Chevy overturned while the Camry ended up facing the wrong way.
A white van was suspected also to be involved in the collision. However, there aren’t enough details about the collision at the moment. Two people were injured in the accident. They were both taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The case is currently under investigation. Authorities will determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
Car Crash Statistics
In the United States, automobile accidents are the leading cause of personal injury. Nearly 2 million people are injured in car accidents each year. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), approximately 38,000 people were killed in motor vehicle accidents in the United States in 2019. With so many vehicles sharing the same roads, traffic congestion, gridlock, and (most seriously) car accidents – both deadly accidents and those resulting in severe injuries – will undoubtedly follow.
Accidents involving multiple vehicles are not the most common, but they can result in staggering amounts of personal injuries and property damage when they do occur. They can result in bitter legal disputes over who, exactly, was at fault for causing such a major accident. Disputes can impair your legal right to compensation for your injuries. These accidents are caused by various reasons, such as distracted driving, drunk driving, and driver over-fatigue.
