[09-28-2020] San Bernardino County, CA – One Man Killed in a Fatal Apple Valley Car Crash

A 36-year-old man identified as Michael Simon was killed after a fatal two-vehicle accident in Apple Valley on early Monday morning, September 28.

The fatal collision transpired at approximately 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Stoddard Wells Road in Apple Valley. A 46-year-old Bell Gardens resident was driving his GMC Sierra pickup truck eastbound on Stoddard. He stopped at the stop sign at Dale Evans Parkway. Unfortunately, the GMC failed to yield traffic and drove into the intersection.

The GMC then collided with a northbound Dodge Challenger that was driven by the victim. Due to the severity of the impact, the GMC rolled over while the Dodge Challenger sustained major front-end damage. The driver of the Dodge Challenger was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, where he was later pronounced dead.
