Three people were injured after their vehicle crashed into a boat that fell off a trailer in Chula Vista on Monday morning, October 25.

A 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320 struck a 30-foot boat that fell off a tractor-trailer. Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and found the boat and the Mercedes that was severely damaged.

The trailer’s driver towing the ship did not stop to render aid and continued to drive away from the scene.

Two people inside the vehicle were seriously injured in the crash. They were immediately taken to UCSD Medical center for treatment.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities are actively looking for the hit-and-run driver.
