[12-18-2020] San Diego County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 5 Kills One Person

An unidentified pedestrian was killed due to a deadly accident at the southern end of Balboa Park in downtown San Diego on Friday morning, December 18.

The accident took place on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Highway 163 at approximately 9:00 a.m.

The pedestrian was struck by an unspecified vehicle on the roadway. How the crash occurred, and the reason why it happened has not been established.

The pedestrian was fatally injured as a result of the accident. They were later declared dead.

It is unclear whether drugs and alcohol were factors in the crash.
