[05-31-2021] San Diego County, CA – Hit-and-Run Accident on El Cajon Boulevard Injures One Pedestrian

An unidentified 49-year-old man was seriously hurt after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver on El Cajon on early Monday morning, May 31st.

The victim was reportedly walking outside a marked crosswalk when a dark-colored sedan suddenly struck him on the eastbound lanes. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Emergency personnel later arrived and found the victim lying on the roadway. He sustained major injuries, including an open fracture to his lower right leg. The victim was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is currently gathering more evidence. They are also actively pursuing the whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver.
