[09-22-2020] San Diego County, CA – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Midway District Injures One

One pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run driver struck him in the Midway District in the neighborhood of San Diego on Wednesday night, September 22.

The pedestrian accident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Rosecrans Street, just north of Lytton Street. A 41-year-old man was attempting to cross towards Rosecrans Street when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle.

The victim was walking outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver that struck the man did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. He was immediately transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries.
