[05-20-2021] San Diego County, CA – Motorcycle Crash on I-15 Results in One Death

One person was killed after a deadly motorcycle crash on the San Diego freeway’s transition ramp on Thursday afternoon, May 20.

The motorcyclist reportedly rear-ended a parked Honda Civic on the right-hand shoulder of the ramp from northbound state Route 15 to westbound Interstate 8.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash. Emergency crews performed CPR on the rider.

Unfortunately, despite their life-saving efforts, the rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

It is unclear why the Honda Civic was pulled over on the right-hand shoulder. The transition ramp has been closed to give way for the cleanup and investigation.
