A 57-year-old man was seriously hurt after a motorcycle collision in Pacific Beach on Sunday afternoon, April 25.

The motorcyclist was heading northbound on Mission Boulevard when it collided head-on with a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The Volkswagen was initially turning onto Mission from Opal Street.

The motorcycle rider was ejected from his bike due to the severity of the impact. He sustained serious leg injuries in the accident and was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
