[11-19-2020] San Diego County, CA – One Person Injured After a Pedestrian Accident in East County

An unidentified man was seriously hurt after getting hit by a car in East County on Thursday morning, November 19.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s initial reports, the accident transpired at around 7:00 a.m. on Grandview Drive in the Mount Helix area of San Diego.

The pedestrian was walking on the side of Grandview Drive when a Ford Explorer suddenly hit him.

The Ford Explorer driver claims that she lost control of her vehicle because the sun got in her eyes.

The victim sustained severe injuries from the accident and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.
