An unidentified woman was killed after getting hit by a suspected drunk driver in Oceanside on Sunday morning, January 17.

Medical personnel found her lying on the roadway with severe trauma to her head. They attempted to perform life-saving measures on the woman, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been disclosed.

Local authorities apprehended the driver that struck the woman. She was arrested on the scene. Police determined that she was driving while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
