[05-19-2021] San Diego County, CA – Elderly Pedestrian Injured By a Hit-and-Run Driver in Casa De Oro

A 74-year-old man was seriously hurt after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver in Casa De Oro on Wednesday morning, May 19.

The accident transpired at approximately 5:55 a.m. at the onramp from Bancroft Drive to westbound state Route 94 in Casa De Oro.

The pedestrian was reportedly walking across an onramp near Mount Helix when a passing vehicle suddenly struck him.

The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. A description of the suspect and his vehicle is unavailable at the moment.

The victim was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
