An AT&T worker was seriously injured after a pedestrian crash in Chula Vista on Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021.

[11-03-2021] San Diego County, CA - AT&T Worker Hurt After a Pedestrian Crash in Chula VistaThe crash transpired at approximately 10:50 a.m. in the area of C Street, near 5th Avenue in Chula Vista. The victim was standing beside his parked service truck when a westbound car crashed into a parked vehicle under unclear circumstances.

Due to the severity of the impact, the vehicle was pushed forward and crashed into the victim’s service truck, trapping the worker underneath. The victim was dragged underneath the vehicle and was extricated by concerned bystanders.

He sustained severe injuries in the mishap. The victim was immediately taken to a local trauma enter for treatment. He is listed in critical condition.

The driver that struck the victim was also hospitalized with minor injuries. Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
