[05-18-2021] San Francisco County, CA – 1 Killed, 3 Injured After a Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash near the Civic Center

One person was killed while three others were injured after a hit-and-run crash near the Civic Center on Tuesday night, May 18.

[05-18-2021] San Francisco County, CA - 1 Killed, 3 Injured After a Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash near the Civic CenterThe deadly collision transpired at approximately 7:00 p.m. at Polk and Hayes streets along the back of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

Multiple vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash. A Chevrolet Avalanche truck collided with an Audi A6 before hitting two pedestrians.

Two people from the Audi were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The male pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was also rushed to an area hospital.

The pedestrian that was struck was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Lovisa Svallingson.

The Chevy driver did not stop to wait for authorities and fled the scene. Local authorities are currently pursuing the suspect.
