[07-11-2021] San Francisco County, CA – Three People Hurt After a Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 280

Three people, including two children, were hurt after a hit-and-run crash in the Outer Mission neighborhood on Sunday evening, July 11.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident transpired at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Interstate 280. An unspecified vehicle rear-ended another vehicle in the southbound lanes of Interstate 280. It is unclear what caused the unspecified vehicle to rear-end the other.

Due to the severity of the impact, the rear-ended vehicle overturned. One adult and two children in the vehicle were injured. They were all taken to a trauma center for treatment. The driver that rear-ended the vehicle did not wait for local authorities to arrive and fled the scene.

Information about the suspect’s identity and the vehicle has not been disclosed. The accident is currently under investigation. Local authorities are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver.
