An unidentified motorcyclist was killed after a fatal traffic collision at an intersection in San Mateo on early Friday morning, August 7.

The accident occurred at the intersection of El Camino Real and 12th Avenue at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The motorcyclist was reportedly heading southbound on El Camino Real when he was suddenly struck by an oncoming SUV heading northbound.

Due to the severity of the impact, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
