[06-05-2020] Santa Barbara, CA – Two People Injured After a Multi-Vehicle Collision in Goleta

Two people sustained varying degrees of injuries after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Goleta on Friday evening, June 5th.

According to the initial reports from local officials, the accident occurred at around 5:19 p.m. Seven vehicles crashed into each other on southbound Highway 101 off-ramp at Turnpike Road. The California Highway Patrol responded at the scene.

The reason and how the accident occurred is currently unclear.
First responders extricated the people that were trapped in the wreckage. Two people were injured, and both were immediately transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital to receive treatment.
