[11-07-2021] Santa Barbara County, CA – One Person Injured After a Bicycle Crash in Santa Ynez Valley

An unidentified person was injured after a bicycle crash in Santa Ynez Valley on Sunday afternoon, November 7, 2021.

The crash happened in the area of Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon in Santa Ynez Valley at around 3:48 p.m.

A vehicle crashed into a bicyclist under unclear circumstances. How the accident occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.

The bicycle rider sustained severe injuries in the crash. They were airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and are currently listed in critical condition.

The driver that struck the bicyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
