A young girl was seriously injured after a pedestrian accident in Santa Maria on Wednesday morning, October 13.

The young girl was reportedly walking to school when she was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle for unclear reasons.

The young girl sustained severe injuries from the mishap and was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear whether the driver that struck the child was arrested or injured. Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the crash.
