[07-03-2020] Santa Clara, CA – One Man Killed, Three Others Injured After a Car Rear-Ended a VTA Bus in San Jose

An unidentified 40-year-old man was killed while three other people were hurt after a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision between a VTA bus and a car in San Jose on Friday afternoon, July 3rd.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal accident transpired at around 5:00 p.m. A Mitsubishi rear-ended a bus pulling up on a bus stop in West San Carlos Street near South Buena Vista Avenue for unknown reasons.

The Mitsubishi driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Both passengers of the Mitsubishi were injured. One had life-threatening injuries while the other one had moderate injuries. Both of the passengers were taken to a nearby hospital. The VTA bus driver sustained minor injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
