[12-31-2020] Santa Clara County, CA – Child Killed After a Fatal Bicycle Accident in San Jose

A young girl riding an electric bicycle was killed after getting hit by a passing vehicle in east San Jose on Thursday morning, December 31.

The accident took place near the intersection of Santee Drive and McQuesten Drive in East San Jose at around 11:15 a.m. The young girl was reportedly riding her electric bicycle near the Santee Elementary School when she was suddenly hit by a pickup truck.

The pickup truck was initially pulling into an apartment complex driveway before hitting the young girl. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities. The victim sadly died as a result of the crash. Her identity has not been disclosed at the moment.
