An unidentified person was killed after a deadly pedestrian accident involving multiple vehicles in San Jose on Wednesday morning, October 6.

Emergency personnel found the victim lying in the northbound lanes. Witnesses said that the victim was struck by a vehicle traveling in the third lane before getting hit two times by two different cars.

The first driver that struck the pedestrian did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene, while the second and third drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The unidentified man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors that led to the fatal crash.
