[12-25-2020] Shasta County, CA – One Person Injured After a Pedestrian Accident in Redding

An unidentified pedestrian was hurt after getting hit by a vehicle in Redding on Friday morning, December 25.

The accident took place on South Bonnyview Road and Bechelli Lane at approximately 1:20 a.m.

The pedestrian was reportedly hit at the intersection by a westbound vehicle. He was walking in an unmarked crosswalk at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 32-year-old Jeffrey Kuhns. The driver immediately called 9-1-1 and remained at the scene to cooperate with local authorities.

The victim was immediately rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

Additional information about the accident is unavailable at the moment. Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the crash. Witnesses that can give additional information about the accident are urged to contact officer Eddy Gilmette at the Redding Police Department, 225-4200.
