Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics

According to the United States Department of Transportation’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), 33,654 fatal vehicle crashes in 2018 caused 36,560 deaths. Accidents involving multiple vehicles are not the most common, but they can result in staggering amounts of personal injuries and property damage when they do occur. They can result in bitter legal disputes over who, exactly, was at fault for causing such a major accident. Disputes can impair your legal right to compensation for your injuries.

A multi-vehicle collision occurs when three or more vehicles are involved in the accident. A “chain-reaction” crash usually triggers it. This type of accident can be difficult to deal with as there are multiple parties involved. These types of crashes are commonly caused by drunk driving, speeding, and distracted driving.

Sonoma County Wrongful Death Attorney for Victims of Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collisions

Car accidents can happen to anyone. It can be hard to predict when a car accident will occur. If your loved one was killed in a deadly traffic accident, you have the legal right to demand compensation from the liable party or your insurance company.
