[06-14-2020] Sonoma County, CA – Two People Injured After a Motorcycle Accident in Petaluma

Two people sustained severe injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a Petaluma truck on Sunday evening, June 14th.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Petaluma Road near Landing Way. A BMW motorcycle was traveling behind a Chevrolet truck when he truck suddenly made an illegal U-turn in front of the motorcycle.

As a result, the motorcycle crash into the truck, ejecting the two passengers. The two passengers sustained serious injuries and were immediately transported to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital to receive treatment. The truck that hit the victims fled the scene after the accident. It was described as having a black lumber rack with toolboxes on the sides.
