[05-18-2020] Stanislaus, CA – 1 Person Killed While Two Others Injured After a 2-Car Crash Accident in Ceres

One person was killed while two other people were injured after a fatal 2-car crash traffic collision in Ceres on Monday morning, May 18th.

According to the initial reports from the local police, the accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on eastbound Hatch Road near Central Avenue.

A red sedan reportedly crossed over the center divider for unknown reasons and drove into the opposite lane. The vehicle was later struck by a 2006 Chevy Silverado pickup truck.

The driver of the red sedan was later identified as Martha Guzman of Modesto. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as an 18-year-old man named Joe Soriano. The driver of the pickup and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.

Authorities do not consider drugs and alcohol as a factor in the accident.
