[08-13-2020] Stanislaus County, CA – 2 People Hurt in a Major Traffic Collision in Turlock

Two people were seriously hurt after their vehicle was hit by two other cars after it fell from a 20-feet overpass in Turlock on Thursday morning, August 13.

According to the police’s initial reports, the accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. on Highway 99 near West Canal Drive. An SUV was seen driving recklessly on West Canal Drive when it veered off the roadway near the top of the overpass and fell 20-feet onto the slow lane of southbound Highway 99. An oncoming tractor-trailer then struck the SUV after it landed.

Due to the severity of the impact, the SUV was pushed into the fast lane, later hit by a second vehicle. Two people were seriously injured as a result of the crash. Additional details regarding the accident are limited at the moment.
