[12-17-2020] Stanislaus County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Modesto Kills One Person

An unidentified man was killed due to a fatal pedestrian accident in Modesto on Thursday night, December 17.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident occurred at around 8:10 p.m. on Yosemite Boulevard. The unidentified male pedestrian was attempting to cross outside of a marked crosswalk when an eastbound SUV suddenly struck him.

The pedestrian was rushed to Memorial Medical Center but later died while undergoing treatment.

The 25-year-old female SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.

It is unclear whether intoxication or speeding were factors in the accident.
