[09-30-2020] Stanislaus County, CA – Man Riding a Mobility Scooter Killed in a Fatal Modesto Pedestrian Accident

An unidentified man riding a sit-down mobility scooter was struck and killed by a passing vehicle in Modesto on Wednesday morning, September 30.

The fatal accident transpired at around 7:00 a.m. at Yosemite Boulevard and Ruffino Avenue, just west of La Loma Avenue. The victim was crossing Yosemite Boulevard on his scooter inside a marked crosswalk when a westbound commercial pickup truck suddenly struck him.
