One person was killed while another was hurt after a major two-vehicle collision on Road 68 on Friday morning, October 15.

A southbound Nissan Pathfinder was traveling on Road 68 when the driver failed to stop at a red light and struck an eastbound Chevy Silverado at an intersection on Highway 137.

The Nissan driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Chevy driver sustained critical injuries in the crash. He was immediately taken to Kaweah Health Center to receive treatment.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
