An unidentified man was killed after a fatal motorcycle accident on Avenue 280 on Thursday night, May 20th.

[05-20-2021] Tulare County, CA - One Person Killed After a Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Avenue 280According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident transpired at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Avenue 280 at Road 176, between Farmersville and Exeter.

An Ecoline van driver was stopped on Avenue 280, waiting to make a left turn onto Road 176, when the motorcyclist suddenly rear-ended the van.

The rider was ejected from his vehicle and landed on the roadway. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear what caused the motorcyclist the rear-end the van.

The California Highway Patrol is working to figure out the cause of the fatal crash. They will attempt to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
