[06-18-2021] Tulare County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash

One unidentified man was killed after a fiery two-vehicle crash near Road 48 on Friday afternoon, June 18.

[06-18-2021] Tulare County, CA - One Person Killed After a Fiery Two-Vehicle CrashAccording to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident transpired at around 3:45 p.m. on Avenue 229 near Road 48. An eastbound silver Saturn suddenly veered off of the roadway for unclear reasons. As the driver attempted to drive back onto the roadway, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Buick Regal.

The Saturn then caught fire after the collision. Bystanders attempted to pull out the driver from the wreckage. Unfortunately, the Saturn driver was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Buck sustained moderated injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Local authorities are currently investigating the accident. They will attempt to determine whether intoxication or mechanical failure was a factor in the collision.
