[01-23-2024] Ventura County, CA – 30-year-old Male Pedestrian Dead After Getting Struck by Car in Oxnard

A 30-year-old male pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car in Oxnard on Tuesday evening, January 23, 2024.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the fatal accident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Stroube Street.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian, identified as Andres G., was crossing Vineyard Avenue at Stroube Street when he was hit by a sedan traveling north on Vineyard.

Officers said the victim was immediately taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead soon after.

Authorities claim that there was no sign of alcohol or drugs at the scene of the accident. The major cause of the tragedy is still unclear.
