Trial Attorney
James Caress, Esq. is an experienced personal injury lawyer who brings a wealth of experience to Arash Law and the team led by Arash Khorsandi Esq. Mr. Caress showed an early interest in the law, participating in Trial Advocacy programs in high school and throughout college and law school. Foreshadowing his ability in the courtroom, James won the American Mock Trial Association national championship in 2011 and was named an All-American Attorney in 2013.
Mr. Caress earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating with departmental and college honors. He then went on to study law at Loyola Law School, where he was a member of the school’s Byrne Trial Advocacy Team and placed first in National Board of Advocacy’s Tournament of Champions. While a law student, James took externships with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Public Defender’s Office.
James began advocating for the rights of the injured after law school and has significant experience in representing individuals injured by the recklessness and negligence of others. His varied background and commitment to zealous advocacy makes him a valuable addition to our legal team and will allow the firm to continue pursuing justice on behalf of the injured.

Despite the clear negligence of the driver, the insurance company and driver callously refused to offer our client more than $18,000 over the course of 3 long years. Even though the insurance policy limits were set at $100,000, they persistently turned down our attempts to settle within those confines.
Undeterred, we took the case to trial in San Mateo County, fighting tirelessly for our client’s rights. The dedicated jury sided with us, recognizing the merits of our argument, and granted our deserving client a final verdict of 3.5 MILLION DOLLARS. It is essential to note that she was found only 40% liable for the incident.
