According to authorities, the fatal crash occurred at night on Interstate 5’s southbound lanes near J Street.

Reports indicated that three vehicles collided, and two cars were severely damaged.

It is unclear if anyone else was hurt and taken to the hospital.

Investigations on the collision are ongoing.
