[02-01-2023] 46-Year-Old Found Dead After Suspected Hit-and-Run near San JoseA 46-year-old man was killed in what is believed to be a hit-and-run crash in East Foothills, San Jose, on early Wednesday morning, February 01, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred sometime overnight and was reported around 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday along Alum Rock Avenue east of Kirk Avenue, east of San Jose.

What the initial investigation revealed with the debris on the site and the injuries sustained by the man led CHP officials to believe that the victim was struck by a car that left the scene.

He had been found partially in a clump of bushes off the roadway’s right shoulder. Authorities have not released any information on his identity as of Wednesday midday.

The car and its driver were not readily identifiable, and the search continued. Call the CHP’s San Jose-area office if you have any information about the event.
