One unidentified person was killed following a deadly bicycle crash in San Jose on Thursday night, February 10, 2022.

[02-10-2022] Santa Clara County, CA - One Person Killed Following a Deadly Bicycle Crash in San JoseThe accident happened at the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue at around 8:26 p.m.

A southbound 2013 BMW sedan was traveling on Almaden Expressway. As it approached the intersection at Foxworthy Avenue, it struck a westbound bicyclist.

The BMW had a green light at the intersection when the crash occurred. The driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

The bicycle rider was critically injured in the mishap and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the rider later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the accident. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
