[02-13-2023] Three Women Rescued, One Injured in Redding DUI Car CrashAt least one person was injured among the three women extricated in a single-car rollover crash due to a suspected driver in Redding, Shasta County, on Monday evening, February 13, 2023.

According to the Redding Police Department, the crash reportedly occurred shortly before midnight on Lake Boulevard and Magnums Way in the neighborhood of Buckeye north of Redding.

The initial investigation revealed that the female driver of a Honda sedan had crashed her car into a parked vehicle. The impact caused the Honda to roll over onto its side.

The driver had three other female passengers inside the vehicle. The responding firefighter had to force open the car by cutting the roof off it to rescue the three women.

One of the passengers sustained a broken arm. The extent of other possible injuries remained unknown as further details were not immediately available.

Police claimed alcohol played a role after finding empty liquor bottles inside the car.
