A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Mecca, Riverside County, on Wednesday afternoon, February 14, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 12:50 p.m. at Lincoln Street between 64th Avenue and Hammond Road.

Authorities stated that a driver in a gray Toyota Camry had hit a pedestrian. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital, but later died.
