A 39-year-old rider was killed, and another driver was injured following a motorcycle vs. SUV collision in Temecula on Friday afternoon, February 16, 2024.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal collision occurred around 4:44 p.m. between Margarita Road and Rancho California Road.

Reports indicate that a motorcyclist collided with an SUV, which turned left out of a nearby shop.

The rider was declared dead at the scene, while the SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The deceased victim was identified as Brian L., a resident of Murrieta.

The authorities have not determined if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the fatal collision. Further details are not yet available.
