[02-23-2023] Tulare County, CA – One Person Sustained Injuries After Food Plant Fire in Dinuba

A fire at a food plant injured one employee in Dinuba early Thursday morning, February 23, 2023.

Authorities reported that the accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Alta Avenue near Avenue 416.

According to reports, crews were called to the scene after the fire started in the facility.

Investigators believe it started in the building’s air system, and ladder trucks were used to extinguish the flames on the roof.

One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The food company has been producing frozen Mexican food in the South Valley since the 1960s, with products sold in grocery stores nationwide.

Crews were on the ground all morning, looking for hot spots.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
