[02-25-2024] Ventura County, CA – At Least One Person Killed After Multi-Vehicle Collision Along 101 Freeway

At least one person was killed after a multi-vehicle collision in Ventura early Sunday afternoon, February 25, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 12:55 p.m. along the 101 Freeway north of Seacliff.

Reports indicate that a vehicle failed to stop and struck another vehicle, which halted because of a traffic backup. This resulted in five vehicles hitting each other’s rear ends.

One victim, a 40-year-old named Guillermo S., was injured and airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The authorities have not released further information about the fatal collision.
