[03-04-2024] Ventura County, CA – 73-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Oxnard

A 73-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Oxnard early Monday evening, March 4, 2024.

According to the authorities, the fatal collision occurred at about 6:16 p.m. on Rose Avenue, north of Fifth Street.

Reports indicate that the elderly pedestrian was crossing the intersection when he was hit by a driver traveling north on Rose Ave.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name remains undisclosed.

The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigations. The authorities dismissed DUI or speed as possible factors in the fatal collision.
